Amazing Original 1940s Vintage Wide Brim Chocolate Brown Fedora Hat With Veiling
This incredible hat was made in the 1940s from brown felt. It was fashioned in the classic fedora style of the period with a wide brim that is larger at the front. It dramatically perches on the head and would look stunning worn with a suit or slacks and a blouse. A wide piece of veiling has been wrapped around the crown and draped over the front of the hat and down the back. Inside, there is a hat ribbon and elastic to hold it in place.
As the hat perches on the wearer’s head, it is suitable for a variety of head sizes.
The fedora is in good condition with only a small mark as pictured. However the veiling shows significant wear with a number of tears and breaks and this would have originally been a beautiful duck egg blue but has faded over the years. It could easily be removed and the fedora would look stunning without it or alternatively it could be replaced with new veiling.
