This wonderful bag was made from white ostrich leather in the late 1940s / early 1950s. It was crafted in the classic box shape of the period with a wide base that narrows towards a gold framed metal clasp at the top. The purse has a fabulous geometric clasp and a short handle. Inside, it is lined in beige leather and has a maker’s label for Town & Country Shoes.
Size: 10 1/2” x 7 1/4” x 3” without handle
The bag is in very good condition with only some wear to the handle as pictured.
