Vibrant Lemon Yellow Original 1940s Vintage Full Length Housecoat

This fabulous house coat was made in the late 1940s from vibrant yellow cotton with an abstract print in shades of green, pink and lilac. It features a beautiful wrap design, with the attached fabric waist ties feeding through an opening in the side seam to wrap around the wearer’s waist. The large collar emphasises the shoulder line and turn up cuffs finish off the sleeves beautifully. A large patch pocket adorns the right hip and adds a practical feature. Inside, the piece is unlined. This house coat would be ideal for lounging but could equally be worn as a dress. 

Due to the wrap over style, the sizing on this piece has some flexibility to be slightly larger than the below measurements and can also be wrapped tighter to be significantly smaller.

The house coat is in good condition, however there are some marks and areas of seam stress as well as tearing / fraying at the collar as pictured.
