This stunning coat was made in the 1940s from pale pastel pink cotton. It was cut in the classic swing style of the period with strong padded shoulders and a loose fit below. The unusual high neckline fastens with a single large button and functional slit pockets at the waist add a practical feature. This coat is so very versatile and will be perfect for the spring season. Wonderful seam detail at the bust adds a nice geometric element and the wide sleeves fan out towards the cuff for beautiful volume and movement. Inside, the coat is lined in pink satin but does not have any maker’s labels.
