Fabulous Original 1940s Vintage Lipstick Red Gabardine Swing Coat
This amazing coat was made in the 1940s from red gabardine. It was cut in the classic loose fitting swing coat silhouette with strong padded shoulders. The large collar leads to two rows of black buttons which fasten the coat at the bust. The collar has a small decorative notch at the back and incredible geometric seam work adorns the back of the coat. The sleeves have been fashioned into bishop sleeves with volume throughout, terminating in tight pleating and a fitted cuff. Inside, the coat is lined in sumptuous red satin and has a maker’s label for Fifth Avenue Fashions.

The coat is in very good condition with only some small marks, a tiny seam split and some discolouration to the lining as pictured.
