This fabulous raincoat was made from a heavy black cotton in the late 1940s. It is cut in a classic trench coat design and features strong padded shoulders and a belted waist. The belt is attached at the back of the coat and the waist seam at the back is given a princess fit effect through the use of clever darting work. The large notched label collar has rounded off points and leads to a double row of three buttons, which fasten the coat on a double breasted design. Two large functional patch pockets at the hip add a practical feature and the tab cuffs give another nod to the trench coat design. Inside, the coat is unlined and bears the maker’s label for Sherbrooke Rainwear.

Waist: 34” but can be tied smaller with the belt

Hips: 44”

Length: 43 1/2”

The coat is in very good condition, however there are a couple of repairs and a few marks as pictured. The marks look like paint and may scratch or soak off.
