Stunning Original 1930s Vintage Burgundy Embroidered Full Length Dress With Puff Sleeves
This magnificent dress was made in the 1930s from burgundy stiffened lawn blend that has been delicately embroidered with a foliage pattern. The dress was cut in the classic silhouette of the period with gathered puff sleeves that highlight the shoulder line. The small shirt collar closes high on the neck and leads to a row of twelve decorative pearl buttons with poppers behind that fasten the dress at the bust. Matching faux pearl buttons adorn the cuffs of the long sleeves and a press stud side opening facilitates access. Unusually, the dress is full length and indeed suitable for a tall lady with its wonderful sweeping skirt. It is sheer and would benefit from being worn with a slip by all but the most daring.

The dress is in good condition, however there are a few holes at the underarm and near the hem and missing buttons at the cuff as pictured.
