This stunning hat was made from black velvet in the 1930s. It was designed in a classic smoking cap style with beautiful hand painted decoration depicting flowers, foliage and berries in shades of green pink and white around the crown. Similar hand painted detailing also decorated the top of the crown. Inside the hat is made from black wool with a cotton lining to the crown, which has been embroidered with the initial A. 

 

Size: 21”

 

The hat is in very good condition with only some slight cracking to the hand painting.
