Original 1940s 40s Vintage Blue Studded Jacket With Huge Bishop Sleeves And Peplum
This incredible jacket was made from a blue wool crepe in the 1940s. It looks like it has walked straight out of a Hollywood movie! The construction of the piece is just wonderful with strong padded shoulders and a nipped waist. The fabulous peplum further accentuates the tiny waist and the panel work on the front of the jacket gives it great structure. The most stunning detail of all, are the huge bishop sleeves adorned with graduated studs and closed at the wrist with press stud cuffs. A small notched lapel collar leads to a row of four silver twisted robe buttons. Inside, the jacket is lined in blue satin and does not have makers labels.
Bust: 36”

The jacket is in good condition with a few small marks and pin holes as pictured. There is also some very faint fade to the shoulders and sleeves but this is hardly noticeable. The lining has some discolouration to the underarms.
