This incredible coat was made in the 1940s from a pumpkin gabardine with a hint of coral. It is cut in a classic 1940s swing style with super strong padded shoulders from which the coat falls loosely to give it plenty of swish and movement. The small wing collar leads to a row of three large plastic buttons which fasten the coat at the bust. At the back, the coat is decorated with pleated mock vents at the shoulders and stunning geometric panelling running down from them. The coat also features huge notched turn up cuffs which have been adorned with six small buttons each. Inside, the coat is lined in orange crepe and is without maker’s labels.

The coat is in very good condition, however there are a few marks and pin holes as well as a repair as pictured. The lining is slightly torn at the sleeve.
