It was cut in the classic hourglass silhouette of the era with structured shoulders and a nipped waist. The high collarless neckline further emphasises the strong shape of the garment and four buttons fasten the jacket at the front. The waist has been nipped with darting and can be cinched in with the attached fabric tie belt at the back. Below the waist, the back of the jacket falls into a beautifully pleated bustle that adds wonderful movement to the piece. Inside, the blazer is unlined and without maker’s labels.
