This fabulous blazer was made from black wool in the 1940s. It was cut in a sharp masculine influenced silhouette with strong padded shoulders and a double breasted fastening that narrows to a single button at the waist giving it a slight nip. The blazer features a notched lapel collar and three pockets. It may once have been a menswear piece that was adapted to a female garment during the war. Inside, it is lined in rayon with ingenious underarm guards and has a maker’s label for Studio City Clothes of California.

The blazer is in good condition with only a few small marks as pictured. There are a number of seam splits and repairs to the lining.
