This wonderful jacket was made from a burgundy fabric with a white horizontal stripe in the early 1950s. A wing collar with v-neckline marks the beginning of a single line of six buttons down the centre of the jacket. These terminate above a high waist seam below which a small peplum flares out slightly to emphasise the wearer’s waist. Inside, the jacket is unlined and has a maker’s label of Marldena Model.
