Original 1940s 40s Vintage Red Self Striped Wool Coat With Matching Beret Hat
This stunning coat was made in the 1940s from red wool with a black self stripe. The coat is cut in a classic 1940s silhouette with super strong padded shoulders and a loose fitting swing shape. The gorgeous panel work to the front and back of the coat enhances the swing silhouette. The large collar leads to a single button fastening at the neck with a hook fastening the coat at the waist. The huge turn up cuffs and slit waist pockets add wonderful 1940s details. Inside, the coat is lined in black satin with a crepe panel at the back of the neck. The coat comes with a matching beret style hat with gorgeous stitch detailing.

The beret perches loosely on the head and would be suitable for a variety of head sizes.
The coat is in fair condition with some overall fade to the piece as pictured. This is less noticeable in real life than in the photos. There are also a number of repairs to the outside and some damage to the inside. The hat is in good condition.
