Original 1930s 30s Volup Vintage Burgundy Dress With Illusion Neckline And Rouleau Details

This stunning dress was made from burgundy crepe in the 1930s. It is cut in a classic mid decade silhouette with a slim longer length skirt. The dress features an incredible illusion neckline made from fine chiffon with satin stripes arranged in a sun burst pattern across the bust, shoulders and upper sleeves. The sheer section of the dress creates a daring yet sophisticated neckline and the edges of this section have been decorated with satin rouleau swirls which also run in a double row down the centre of the bust. The remainder of the dress is cut simply to allow the illusion details to shine. The dress fastens with a side metal slipper and a single hook fastening to the back of the neckline. This dress could also be worn with the illusion panel at the rear creating a fabulous low back detail.

The dress is in very good condition with only a couple of breaks to the chiffon at the shoulder as well as a small seam pop and a couple of marks as pictured.
