This wonderful coat was made from a canary yellow gabardine in the 1940s.  It is cut in a classic swing coat style with the strong padded shoulders that are also characteristic of 1940s garments. The coat features a large wing collar, wide, slightly fluted sleeves with turn up cuffs and functional slit waist pockets. The back of the coat is adorned with stunning geometric panel work across the shoulder line, further emphasising those huge 1940s shoulders. It closes with a single large button at the collar and the inside is lined in gold satin.

The coat is in very good condition with only a few tiny spots on the sleeve as pictured.
