Gorgeous Original 1940s Vintage Red White And Blue Spotted Rayon Summer Suit
This beautiful play suit was made in the 1940s from cold rayon with a fabulous spotted chevron pattern in shades of red, white and blue. The ensemble is made up of a short sleeve blouse top with a small collar and three buttons at the bust and a matching skirt. It looks to have originally been a dress that was converted into a two piece play suit later on. The skirt has lovely swish and movement and the stripe pattern has been cleverly used to form flattering chevrons running down the skirt. It fastens with a plastic zipper (likely a later addition) and hook at the side.
