This fabulous car coat was made in the late 1940s / early 1950s from a lightweight linen blend with a brown plaid pattern on a rich cream background. The coat falls loosely from padded shoulders giving a casual silhouette. The small stand up collar keeps the wind out and creates a flattering V neckline. The coat fastens with a single square button at the waist and the triangular pockets add a real design statement. Inside, the coat is lined in sumptuous cream rayon.

The coat is in very good condition with only a small loose thread at the pocket and a small mark to the lining as pictured.
