LAYAWAY PAYMENT 2 OF 2 - PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE 

This wonderful raincoat is made from an eye catching red gabardine in the 1940s. The coat is cut in a double breasted style with four large black buttons. A combination of padded shoulders and belted waist gives this coat that sought after hourglass silhouette. The fabulous 1940s features of this piece can also be seen in the strong notched collar flanking the v-neckline and the large functional patch pockets at the waist with decorative picket flaps. Similar decorative embellishments can be seen in the shoulder flaps and large turn ups at the cuffs. Two large vents to the back of the coat, one at the bodice and one to the skirt, further enhance the coats fit and flare silhouette. Inside, the coat is lined in satin and has a maker’s label for Weatherbee Fashion Originals, showerproof, however this coat would probably need retreating to achieve this level of water resistance.

Waist: 38” but cinched with original belt

Length: 46 3/4”

This coat is in very good (almost mint) condition and with no faults to note.
