Beautiful Original 1940s 40s Vintage Pale Pink Blazer
This stunning blazer was made from pale pink gabardine in the 1940s. It was cut in the classic hourglass silhouette of the period with padded shoulders and a nipped waist. Beautiful piecework adds a string style element to this piece through the semicircular rainbow shaped adornment at the waist. Similar piecework has been used to give the notched lapel collar a double collar effect and three fabric covered buttons fasten the blazer. Inside, the blazer is lined in pink crepe and has tiny triangular dress shields made of the same fabric sewn into the underarms.

The blazer is in fair condition with a few crudely executed darns, nibbles and marks as pictured. The sleeve lining is slightly discoloured but this is not noticeable when worn.
