RESERVED ON LAYAWAY FOR SHELLEY - Layaway payment 1 of 2 - due 28th August 2021

This amazing coat was made from a navy blue textured wool in the late 1930s. It is cut in a classic fit and flare style with padded shoulders, a nipped waist and a flared skirt. The strong shoulders have been beautifully gathered to create that late 1930s puff sleeve effect. The voluminous sleeves end in tightly fitted buttoned French cuffs. The sharp pointed dagger collar leads to a single row of nine buttons which fasten the coat at the front. The sides and the back of the coat have been intricately darted to highlight the fitted waist. The nipped waist is further highlighted with the integral belt, which is attached to the back of the coat fir a streamlined silhouette and ties at the front. Inside, the coat is lined in navy blue crepe and has a small hidden ticket pocket where the lining meets the outer fabric. There are also integral crepe ties at the inside waist to improve the fit of the coat.

Waist: 27” but can be cinched tighter with the belt

Hips: 38”

Length: 39 1/4” plus 1” hem 

Shoulder to Waist: 14”

Sleeves from shoulder seam to cuff: 24”

The coat is in very good condition, however there are a few professional repairs and a small area of damage to the lining as pictured.
