This splendid skirt suit was made in the 1940s from wool with a wonderful periwinkle blue and cream plaid pattern. The suit jacket is cut in a double breasted style comprising of six buttons. Strong padded shoulders are combined with a nipped waist to create that stunning hourglass silhouette associated with the decade. This silhouette is highlighted with the v-neckline and a wide notched lapel collar, drawing the eye to the shoulder line. At the waist, there are functional pockets, handy for a lady that likes to wear her suits out and about. Inside, the jacket is lined with brown crepe and has a makers label for O’Rossen, California. The skirt is made from a plaid patterned wool with the cream removed, which compliments and contrasts against the jacket in equal measure.

The suit externally is in very good condition expert for one darn near the back of the skirt hem as pictured. There are seam splits to the lining under both underarms.
