This stunning coat was made from mustard wool in the 1940s. It is cut in a loose swing style with strong padded shoulders. The fabulous colour block design highlights the strong shoulder line with a scalloped black wool panel. These black accents are continued on the turn up cuffs and the edge trim on the slit pockets at the waist. The coat is collarless and fastens with a single large brown button with gold metal centres at the neck. Inside, the coat is lined in black crepe interfaced with wool fur extra warmth. It also has attached shoulder loops so that you can wear the coat stylishly draped over your shoulders. This coat also has one of the sweetest maker's labels ever for Laura Dale Jr.

The coat is in very good condition, however there are a few holes and repairs to the lining and a small fray to the cuff as pictured. There are also a few very faint marks, which are only noticeable on very close inspection but would benefit from dry cleaning.
