This fabulous hat was made from chestnut brown velvet in the 1920s. It comes in a classic deep cloche style with a darted section at the top, a wide straight banded section below and a small upturned brim at the front. A large pleated grosgrain double rosette with long trailing ribbons decorates the back right of the hat in classic flapper style.

The hat is in very good condition, however there is some age related wear to the pile of the velvet and a small section of slightly loose stitching as pictured.
