Original 1940s 40s Vintage Burgundy Knit Dress

This beautiful dress was made from a thick burgundy wool in the 1940s. It was hand knitted in a flattering hourglass silhouette with a fitted bodice and a flared skirt. The knit itself features an interesting alternating pattern of striped with a hole design, which gives the piece a delicate feel. The short sleeves has turn up cuffs and the dress fastens with an original metal zipper at the back of the neck. There are no other openings but there is stretch to the fabric, so please allow for this in the measurements.

Waist: 22-30”

Hips: 34”-44”

Length: 41 1/2” plus 1 1/2”

The dress is in very good condition with only a few small repairs as pictured, which blend well into the fabric.
