Superb Original Late 1930s 30s Vintage Navy Blue Self Striped Coat With Super Strong Puff Shoulders
This stunning coat was made in the late 1930s from soft navy blue wool with a woven in self stripe rib pattern. The coat was cut with super strong padded and gathered puff shoulders that add a wonderful shape. This gorgeous silhouette is further emphasised through the expert panel work, which creates a shoulder yolk, delineating the gathered shoulders, and runs down the front and back of the piece using exquisite geometric seam work. The notched lapel collar leads to a single row of two large buttons which fasten the coat. Inside, the coat is lined in navy rayon and remarkably does not have any maker’s labels.

The coat is in very good condition with only a few frays to the lining, which are not visible when worn.
