Original Vintage 1930s 30s Black Cotton Princess Coat With Bishop Sleeves And Bakelite Buttons
This wonderful princess coat was made from a good quality black cotton in the 1930s. The coat is cut in a classic fit and flare style with strong padded shoulders, a nipped waist and a flared skirt. It boasts the most amazing bishop sleeves with delicate gathering around the fitted cuffs. This gathering also adorns the shoulders and pointed bodice seams. A v-neckline with placket each side extends down to a set of nine Bakelite buttons which fasten with fabric loops. The yoke to the back of the coat is also pointed towards the nipped waistline emphasising the fabulous princess seam work at the waist. Inside, the coat is lined in blue crepe and is without maker’s labels.

The coat is in very good condition to the exterior with only a couple of small marks and pins holes as well as a tiny seam pop to the underarm. Inside, there is staining to the underarms and as well as some larger stains to the front of the lining as pictured, none of which are visible from the outside.
