Original 1950s 50s Volup Vintage Lilac Faille Clutch Coat By Margold Model

This wonderful clutch coat with a single fabric covered waist button was made in the 1950s from a lilac coloured faille. Its free flowing cut and wide sleeves give this garment a casual feel whilst maintaining the practicality of outdoor wear. Inside, the coat is unlined and has a maker’s label for Margold Model.

Bust: up to 46” but intended to worn loose
Shoulders: 16” seam to seam
Length: 43 1/2”

This coat is in good condition throughout but dies have a blue biro line on the back of the sleeve and some very faint fade to the back of the wearer’s right hand sleeve. There is also some colour graduation towards the hem, however this is much less evident in person than it looks in the pictures.
