Original 1940s 40s Vintage Black Blazer By Marie Phillips

This fabulous jacket was made from lightweight cotton rayon blend in the 1940s. It is cut in a classic 1940s hourglass silhouette with padded shoulders and a nipped waist. The small standard collar leads to a line of five mother of pearl buttons, which are also used to decorate the large functional patch pockets at the waist. Inside, the jacket is unlined and has the maker's label for Marie Phillips.

Length: 24”

This jacket is in good condition, however there is a small amount of iron sheen, a slight line of shoulder fade and a mark on the sleeve. We believe that it has been dyed at some point in its life as the maker’s label was unfortunately dyed black.
