Original Vintage Late 1940s 40s Mustard Yellow And Grey Plaid Hat
This unusual hat was made from a highly textured faille in the 1940s. The fabric has a wonderful plaid pattern of mustard yellow, taupe, grey and white. It is fashioned with a low crown and a tiny brim to perch in the wearer’s head. Matching faille fabric has been used to create a large hat and around the crown and a triangle of mustard fabric decorated the back of the hat. From this triangle, shiny silk threads fall down the back of the hat. Inside, the hat is lined in rayon and has a taupe grosgrain hat band.
As the hat perches on the head, it is suitable for a variety of head sizes.
The hat is in very good condition with only a tiny mark as pictured.
