Original Vintage Brown 1940s 40s Felt Tilt Hat With Decorative Feathers

This fabulous hat was made from brown felt in the 1940s. It comes in a classic 1940s tilt style with a small front brim and a close fitting back. The back is decorated with an upturned hem and feathers in shades of brown and peach adorn both sides of the crown. Inside, there is a brown hatband with the maker’s mark for A Gresham Hat as well as velvet ties to keep the hat in place.

The hat perches on the wearer’s head and is suitable for a variety of head sizes.

The hat is in very good condition, however one of the black pieces of fabric that reinforce the feathers has detracted and needs reattaching to keep the feathers firmly in place. There is the slightest bit of discolouration to the inner hat band.
