Original 1940s 40s Vintage Blue Check Sportswear Swing Jacket

This stunning jacket was made in the 1940s from a lightweight navy blue wool with a pale blue check pattern. It is cut in a classic 1940s swing shape with a wonderful drape across the back of the piece. The large wing collar leads to the single button fastening at the neckline. Large turn up cuffs adorn the slightly fluted sleeves and there are large functional patch pockets. Inside, the coat is unlined but it has beautifully bound seams. This stunning pieces has a classic sportswear vibe but would be an equally lovely addition to a modern wardrobe.

The coat is in very good condition with only some small repairs and nibbles and some loose threads at the hem as pictured. The sleeves have been shortened but the material is still present so could be let out again.
