This fabulous hat was made from green crepe in the 1940s. It was fashioned as a flatter platter hat to sit jauntily inside the wearer’s head, secured with wired supports on each side. It has been adorned with beautiful iridescent feathers all over and covered with veiling. Inside, the hat is lined in cream rayon.
As the hat perches loosely on the wearer’s head, it is suitable for a variety of head sizes.
The hat is in good condition, however there are some tears to the veiling and some wear to the supports inside the hat.
