Beautiful Original Vintage 1940s 40s Navy Blue And Pink Rayon Dress With Fleur De Lis Print
This beautiful dress was made in the 1940s from wonderfully slippery navy blue cold rayon with a gorgeous pattern of flowers and fleurs de lis in shades of pink and white. The dress is cut in the classic hourglass silhouette of the period with padded shoulders and a nipped waist. The collarless neckline closes with two press studs and leads to five faux pearl buttons that fasten the dress at the bust. There is a cute neck tie that can be tied in a bow and decorative loops of the same thickness run all around the collar. Beautiful pleat work emphasises the nipped waist of the dress a as of there us a metal side zipper for easy access. The short sleeves have been cuffed and the skirt was cut to a flattering flared design. The dress is unlined and has a maker’s label for Cay Artley.

The dress is in very good condition with only a couple of minuscule marks that are warily lost into the pattern. The original belt is no longer present.
